PERFORMING SPACE

The Workshop for performers / directors/ musicians and scenographers Lead by: Jadranka Andjelic, director and Antonella Diana, scenographer

Antonella Diana (Italy) and Jadranka Andjelić (Serbia) are working together since 1995 in the performances of DAH Theatre Research Centre, Theatre OM from Denmark and in international projects.

The workshop explores the interaction between the performing space and the performers.
Where do the space end and the performer begin? How do the two communicate?  How can the scenography become alive and the actor part of the scenography?
Constructed to mirror the situation and requirements of a working process in the field of contemporary theatre, this workshop researches the potentially dynamic relationship between director, actors and scenographer.
The starting point for the workshop is a stage installation made by Antonella Diana, within which, and in relation to, the participants compose action scores.  The scenographic elements, with their nature of functionality and resistance, give actors the opportunity to discover the expressivities and potentialities of space.
The director leads initial training, the process of material creation and montage within the scenography. Elements such as text and music will be incorporated into the work and montage.  Depending on the working process, the scenographic space will also be changed and developed.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: 14. March 2007

FEE: 150 EURO

Beside your name, age and country of origin please submit short professional CV. Participants are required to bring comfortable working cloths.
